This power-packed, 2-hour workshop is for photographers and graphic designers who want to start or grow their freelance business.

Led by Corwin Hiebert, a business manager to freelancers, digital artists, and entrepreneurs—this workshop will deliver the goods to help you get organized, focused, and on-track using a business planning tool that doesn’t suck.

Every attendee will be given a complimentary copy of Corwin’s Business Action Planner ($50 value) – you can learn more here: www.businessactionplanner.com.

The Business Action Planner Toolkit is a non-prescriptive resource designed to decrease the chance of inertia and increase a freelancer’s entrepreneurial momentum—the digital toolkit includes a 344-page PDF guidebook, Evernote® notebooks, and a free worksheet subscription.

Corwin Hiebert manages talent such as world-renowned photographer, publisher, and best-selling author David duChemin and he’s the author of Living the Dream: Putting Your Creativity to Work [and Getting Paid] (Peachpit Press, 2013) as well as many other eBook titles with Craft & Vision and Flatbooks. Corwin presents business and marketing lectures / workshops at photography and design conferences throughout Canada and the Unites States; he is also a guest lecturer at Vancouver Media Arts Institute, Langara College, and Capilano University (IDEA Program).

Reasons you should take part in the Portfolio Reviews

Some of the no brainer reasons you should be taking part in “First Impressions – CAPIC Vancouver’s 5th Portfolio Speed Review.

All the legwork has been done for you – you get your book together and show up.

You save on the costs of parking in downtown Vancouver. At $4-$8hr that save you at very least $100 in parking fees alone.

You get to meet more of the top art directors and designers in one room wanting to see your work than anywhere else in town.

Close to one out of two of the participants will win a door prize, one that is worth as much as 10 times your ticket.

You get to make graffiti and won’t get arrested for doing so!

You will save making upwards of 100 phone calls to make and rebook and cancel at least 1/2 of the appointments you booked.

There is more than just work involved this year, you get to socialize with your peers and the creative community to share your first impressions for free if you register.

So why haven’t you signed up?
