Final Vote on Canadian Copyright Law takes place Monday June 18

Canadian Copyright law C11 is scheduled for final reading and vote in the House of Parliament on Monday June 18.

This is the culmination of many, many years effort of CAPIC and the PPOC working towards the basic right of the creator to the be the first owner of copyright in photography. This follows the Berne convention and matches our rights to most of the rest of the world.

Congratulations to the committee members who have worked so hard and to our members for their support.

A very social celebration is in order and we are planning for Wed 20th at a location to be determined. Watch this space for details or respond to this post so you will receive the details as they are confirmed!
