The Premier networking forum for technology entrepreneurs

On behalf of our Board, we would like to reach out to the Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators regarding an upcoming event we have on June 26th in Vancouver that may be of interest to you and your members.

VEF is delighted to welcome Gretchen Libby, Executive In Charge Of Business Development & Global Strategy at Industrial Light & Magic – a division of Lucasfilm to speak at our gala BBQ event. Gretchen’s key responsibilities include managing and overseeing ILM’s client marketing and bidding efforts, strategic partnerships, and ILM’s global expansion.

Responsible for some of the most iconic films of our time: Star Wars, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and the recent record breaking The Avengers, Lucasfilm have helped to define the modern entertainment landscape and fundamentally changed the way movies are made.

Industrial Light & Magic has set the standard for visual effects and in the process, created some of the most stunning images in the history of film. ILM is at the forefront of the digital revolution, continuing to break new ground in visual effect with locations in San Francisco and Singapore. Serving the motion picture, commercial production and attraction industries, ILM has created effects for nearly 300 feature films and has played a key role in 10 of the top 15 worldwide box office hits of all time and contributed to half of the top 50.

Held on June 26th at ‘Science World at TELUS World of Science’ our event will bring together Entrepreneurs and Industry Leaders from across the Technology sector. We very much look forward to welcoming guests from Film, Media, Video Gaming, Graphics and Animation.
