Heather Morton in Vancouver

RISK EVERYTHING by Heather Morton

How much Risk are YOU bringing to your photography practice? It may be tough out there for pros and emerging photographers alike but Heather is arguing that there is no better time to add a bit of RISK to your photography practice. Join me for an inspiring evening in which I’ll risk my own reputation to lay out 9 areas of Risk that you NEED to embrace. Sprinkled throughout my talk will be Risky work from industry heavy-hitters (including Chris Buck and Mark Zibert) who share the lessons they’ve learned from their Risky behaviour. And, via pre-recorded Skype interviews, you will see industry insiders (including Rep Heather Elder, Consultant Selina Maitreya, Photographer Finn O’Hara and former Livebooks blogger and Social Media expert Miki Johnson) share their thoughts on the Risks ahead. Finally, to bring us back to the concrete realities of your market, I’m convening a panel of local image buyers who will answer all of our queries in the flesh for a final 30 minute Q&A- bring your promo, style and quoting questions and hear directly from the decision makers.

Yes, I’ve invited over 15 photographers and industry insiders to be part of this talk either by sharing their own experiences of Risk via email or through skype interviews. In fact, here’s a little snippet to get you excited about what you’re going to hear when you see me Live!

Here’s the fabulous Finn O’Hara talking about the moment he moved into motion:
